These Parisian pups Spanish Pulis *came to my attention via a rather circuitous route. My friend Vera Marie Badertscher, blogger at A Traveler’s Library and author of the wonderful new Quincy Tahoma: The Life and Legacy of a Navajo Artist (I’m sending you to the blog, where you’ll find two surprising dog-related reviews), sent me a link to Kristin Espinasse’s delightful French-Word-A-Day blog, where this picture illustrated the word S’Amuser.
I discovered other dogs on that blog but I’ll say no more. This is Wordless Wednesday and I’ve said quite enough.
*I assumed that the pic was snapped in Paris because the dogs are so chic, but Kristin tells me she took the photo on Spain’s Costa Brava. To add to the international flavor of this post, I should mention that Pulis are Hungarian water dogs.
This is an acquired taste in doggie do’s and I have acquired it. They look so elegant when they move. I’m trying to talk my Poodles into this look.
If you ever do manage to convince them, I hope you’ll send pictures, Jan. I promise to post them.
Oh man – they are great looking dogs! I imagine that caring for their fur is a full time job though!
Yes, that’s the only thing I can think of when looking at these, how very time consuming the grooming would be.
Cool way to get to know a language. I am s’amused 🙂
Glamorous!!
Marcie, welcome! I love the Helen Woodward Animal Center. You have such great programs.
To have fun indeed! What a joy just looking at these lovelies 😉
Back when we still took group agility lessons, Lilly and I trained with a puli puppy. Very cute dog, even before she was big enough to have cords.
Ooh, I couldn’t picture a pre-cord Puli — so of course I had to go to the Puli puppy blog: http://pulipuppiesblog.com/blog/category/photos/
Woof! Woof! Oh! My … but adorable and I would like to play with them. Happy Wordless Wednesday! Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
Woofs backatcha, Sugar!
