Frankie and I are headed over today to DogJaunt.com, where we explore San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter, which we recently visited.
There are many reasons I wanted to write about this dog-friendly neighborhood of one of my favorite cities for one of my favorite blogs — as opposed to, say, for this one.
- I owe Dog Jaunt’s Mary-Alice Pomputius, who wrote two extremely useful posts for me, one offering five training tips for traveling with your dog, one on securing your small dog in a car.
- As regular readers know, Frankie doesn’t really enjoy travel. This virtual excursion won’t stress him out.
- One of the places I’m going to highlight is Cafe Chloe, and Chloe is the name of Dog Jaunt’s titular small dog. This was meant to be.
And I’m so glad you did! The Gaslamp Quarter is one of San Diego’s can’t-miss places, and it’s so useful to have tips on enjoying it with your dog. Thanks, Edie!
Okay I’ll take a jaunt over to Dogjaunt and check it out!
I miss San Diego. I’m trying to remember if we were at the Gas lamp district or not- seems to me that is where we had Tapas , but perhaps I’m getting that mixed up with another portion of the city. I’ve never been able to take a dog to San diego- our time share doesn’t allow them. That’s both good and bad. On the one hand, it’s nice not to have to alter your entire schedule around the furry four-footed kind. But on the other- I’d love to take my dogs to the doggy beach and snuggle with them in the hotel room!
