First and foremost — Chester needs a foster home. He is currently being boarded. And when you’re a wire-hair fox terrier mix, you need a little room to move and a bit of attention.

Not that Chester is overly rambunctious. At three years old, he’s more or less settled in. As for the attention — look at that face. Who wouldn’t want to interact with him? In fact, there’s something wise about Chester, something that says, “You can tell me anything. I’ll understand.”

And he won’t tell. You know what they say about Washington, D.C. If you want a friend in town, get a dog.

Why not make it Chester?

    1. Chester has gotten more comments than anyone. I hope that bodes well for his finding a home, although all the pets covered are wonderful. If I wasn’t being so geographically diverse, Frankie would have been in trouble, as far as preserving his solo dog status was concerned!

  1. That face! Congrats on featuring so many pups today. I picked just one to champion. I hope it helps. She has been in foster care for 15+ months, and before that, she was in a shelter for 3 years (yep, three years) during a long court case over the hoarding situation from which she was taken as a pup.
